CHARACTERISTICS OF ACESS

The Asian Council of Exercise and Sports Science (ACESS) is a non-profit educational, professional organization. The ACESS is an international organization consisting of professors, researchers, students, and other membership groups in exercise and sports science in Asian regions. 

PURPOSE OF ACESS

There has been a phenomenal and rapid development in the fields of exercise and sports science.  The ACESS is founded in recognition of the need to address the specific concerns of Asia.

Therefore, the purpose of the ACESS is to promote communication, interaction, and cooperation among exercise and sports science professionals and students in Asian educational, scientific, and research institutions.  In particular, the ACESS seeks to promote and facilitate communication among young researchers and students in the Asian regions.

In these ways, the ACESS seeks to make a contribution to the enhancement of the quality of life among Asians in particular, but also for the rest of the world.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES OF ACESS

◆ Promoting research in the areas of exercise and sports science and facilitating international exchanges among researchers and students in the Asian regions

◆ Assisting young scholars/graduate  students in conducting applied research in exercise and sports science

◆ Organizing conferences on exercise and sports science

◆ Publishing resources on exercise and sports science

◆ Establishing links with other institutions and organizations involved in exercise and sports science activities

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

1. Professional Membership: Persons who have a professional interest in a field related to exercise and sports science

2. Student Membership: Undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in disciplines related to exercise and sports science
